Trails, Hiking & Biking

Ithaca and Tompkins County have an amazing variety of trails for hiking and biking for all levels. For hiking the terrain ranges from a one mile flat walk into Taughannock Falls to a very uphill climb at Buttermilk Falls. There’s even a trail up to Cornell right around the corner at Cascadilla Falls. Our area is well known for its biking trails and mountain bikers rave about the ride at Shindagin Hollow. The newly completed Black Diamond Trail is an 8.5 mile along the slopes of Cayuga Lake and is good for biking, hiking and cross country skiing.
