Ithaca is well known for its great restaurants and bars. We are definitely a destination for foodies. There is so much variety that we can’t include all the amazing places to eat so feel free to ask our staff for recommendations if you don’t find something that interests you on this list. Viva Taqueria has been serving fresh Mexican food since 1995. They have a busy, fun atmosphere and it’s a favorite hot spot with locals for margaritas made with fresh lime juice and an expansive choice of tequilas.
Pasta Vitto is the sister restaurant of Viva. They serve Italian inspired food : pizza, pasta and salad, at reasonable prices. Their bar boasts a Finger Lakes forward selection and prosecco on tap.
Cent Dix features modern French cuisine in a small and cozy setting. They have daily specials as well as standards like Steak and Frites and Onion Soup Gratinee and great wines to pair with your selections.
Right next door to Cent Dix is the Italian half of this pair of restaurants, Mercato Bar and Kitchen. with dishes like Osso Buco and Fresh Fish in Parchment. They also have a great wine list, signature cocktails and delicious desserts made by their in-house pastry chef.
The Ithaca Ale House is the local favorite for burgers, wings and beer. They serve award winning chowder and have an expansive list of beers on tap as well as lots of games showing on their many tvs.
Hawi Ethiopian Cuisine offers a very special treat in a small town like ours. Authentic Ethiopian entrees served with traditional injera. Alcohol isn’t served but you are welcome to bring your own.
