As you can imagine, life at the Inn has been pretty strange since the onset of the Covid-19 virus. The Inn shut down mid March and re-opened in mid May. We used the down time to do some landscaping, improvements and repairs and these will continue throughout the summer.
We are operating following the recommendations of the CDC and our local health department. We have a contactless check in process and our housekeepers keep up to date on the latest cleaning and disinfecting tactics. We had already purchased new bedding so that every layer can be washed after every check. Breakfast is scheduled and guests each eat in a different room. We put breakfast on the table and then text you when it’s time to come down. We can also bring breakfast to your room if requested. Desserts are delivered to your room. Masks are required while you are in the Inn except in your room and at breakfast. The public areas of the Inn are closed except at breakfast. Our goal is to make sure you are comfortable staying here and we follow all the rules of social distancing.
Now that our area has moved into phase 4 of re-opening, there is lots to do in the area. Many of our great restaurants are open for take out or curb side pick up and offer beer, wine and cocktails to go. Some also offer indoor and outdoor dining. One block of N Aurora St (just down the street) has been closed to traffic to increase outdoor dining space. The State and City Parks are open for hiking and biking. The Cornell Botanic Gardens are a great place for a long walk and many of the wineries are open.
We will continue to make adjustments to how we operate in accordance with the recommended health and safety measures and we are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our operations.
